Episode 1 - Bingen University of Applied Sciences
Bingen University of Applied Sciences offers four degree programs directly related to biotechnology, with specializations in medicine, computer science, and process engineering. Current research focuses, for example, on cyanobacteria, gene expression data, and substances for wound healing.

Episode 2 - Trier University of Applied Sciences
Trier University of Applied Sciences offers a total of eight biotechnology degree programs focusing on pharmaceuticals and food at its main campus in Trier and at the Birkenfeld Environmental Campus. Current research at the university focuses on topics including pharmaceutical production in cleanrooms and regional food security.
